Dating a filipina women
They believe that is the biggest reason why I should want to be here. I explain the amazing things that make me want to be here and parts of this culture that inspire me so much.
That it would be the number one reason why a foreigner would ever want to call the Philippines home. I guess it is part of the reason why I get scared to date a Filipina.
I think sometimes when I meet girls here my mind goes crazy! For me even though I may only inspire one more person to shift their perspective… maybe it will inspire foreigners who are here for girls (for the wrong reasons) to at THE VERY LEAST respect this culture and these beautiful women.
Instantly their minds will drift back to the thought that being with a Filipina is the only reason one would want to stay in the Philippines. These situations and conversations with locals, they really do happen to me quite often. share those reasons first and foremost with foreigners and each other…
Traditionally, some courtship may last a number of years before the Filipino woman accepts her suitor as a boyfriend.
Conservativeness, together with repressing emotions and affection, was inherited by the Filipino woman from the colonial period under the Spaniards, a characteristic referred to as the Maria Clara attitude.
The teasing is done by peers or friends of the couple being matched.
This behavior serves as a tool in measuring the admirer's sincerity and seriousness.
I lose that chance to inspire that positive mindset in someone about Filipino culture. a lot of local everyday Filipinos that I interact with will always believe that was the reason why I was here. Where as if Filipinos push the other simple amazing reasons why one should be proud to call this country home…
Although having a series of friendly dates is the normal starting point in the Filipino way of courting, this may also begin through the process of "teasing", a process of "pairing off" a potential teenage or adult couple.
Here I am a 26yr old foreigner semi-fluent in Bisaya, basic knowledge of Tagalog who is living in the Philippines. I have met some Filipinas that right away make me wish I had the privilege of saying… It helps me inspire some positive thinking in the minds of people I look up to… I have found over the course of my time in the Philippines I have pushed away any opportunity I may have had to date a Filipina and to get close to a Filipina. In fact just a few days ago a foreigner told me: “You must be a big hit with the ladies. Get a few beers in you and I bet all the stories will come out.” Stories of a 26yr old who even though maybe lonely in that aspect of his life, just doesn’t agree with people focusing on being with girls here as being the best part of the Philippines. I completely understand why foreigners talk about the girls here so much, because they are amazing, and yes chances are you will get a lot of attention from them if you are a nice guy. One day we were hanging out looking for ingredients to make some food.
Now if you are Filipino reading this I want you to stop here and think: If you didn’t know me, had no clue what I was doing here in the Philippines. What would your guess be as to how I got here, and why I choose to stay here? We headed to the market in Cebu to pick up fresh vegetables.
